Curious George loves playing around our pool. It's science and discovery at its most basic. He's discovering all about current from our pool skimmer. This game fascinates him and we end many hours throwing the plastic ball pit balls into the pool to see where they will float to.
I add some extra learning by asking him questions like, do you think the ball will go to the skimmer if we drop it all the way over here? I also narrate what he's doing and what' happening: look the ball is floating toward the skimmer because it's caught in the current. Oh now both of them have been sucked in.
CG has also tested out floating and sinking by throwing stones into the pool but daddy was not very impressed with that experiment as you can imagine.
My Little ones general curiosity and exploration has reminded me that science is everywhere there's so much to discover every day if you just keep your eyes and mind open.
