Building towers

Curious George has discovered the power of the tower in the past week. He is loving his megablocks and we spend a lot of time building at the moment. On Sunday we had to take a set of megablocks to church. He then happily sat on the floor in the pew and played through the whole service.

Block play is one of the best premaths skills a child can participate in. I'll find some info on why this is and post it soon. In the meantime here are CG's creations over the past few days. Today's creation included a bus and a train and now we are on to Duplo.

Just a note that we help out a bit by holding towers that look like they may fall, building a base and adding pieces here and there to strengthen his construction but we don't direct him.
