Parental Gems - Herding Cats

One of my favorite parts of my relationship with my husband is the witty and often silly repartee we share when things are tough. This is often the only thing that keeps us sane in those horrid moments of parenting and life when you just want to shout at each other or just lie down on the floor and cry. So I've decided to share some of these gems with all of you out there. I hope they bring a smile to your face when life is getting you down.

At the end of a weekend when we had high hopes for getting a lot more done in our home than we were able to we shared the following conversation (more or less):

Super dad: Man I'm exhausted and I feel like we got nothing done.
Mom in the yellow hat: Ja I know I really thought we were gonna get through more. At the least I thought we'd have the lounge completely cleared. Doing anything with two little ones is impossibly slow. It's like trying to climb a mountain with two weights tied around your waist.
Super dad: No it's like trying to climb a mountain while herding sheep. You never make it to the top cause they keep running off to the side instead of going straight up.
Mom in the yellow hat: More like herding goats....
Super dad: Not even, it's more like herding cats....
Mom in the yellow hat: Huh?
Super dad: Do yourself a favour and take a look at herding cats on YouTube.

Here it is ....... Herding cats
