I'm calling a Peas Pod snow day

This morning the temperature at my house is 0 degrees and there have been reports of snow in falling in Illovo, Parktown and Auckland Park which are all right on my doorstep. So I have decided I am calling a snow day.

Oh wait while I'm writing this my husband called to say "Is it snowing where you are". I looked outside and it was. Wow.

The tiny white flecks in the photo are really snow. Sorry the photos are not great I was shivering and holding a baby.
Curious George saying "is colt" and running back inside.
The Collins World Dictionary says:
Snow day - n - ( US ) a day on which heavy snow makes it impossible for children to attend school

The Peas Pod Family Dictionary says:
Snow day - n- a day on which the temperature is uncharacteristically cold for South Africa or actual snow (albeit very little) falls in your garden. Making it impossible for children to go outside or move out of the heated bedroom or lounge.

On a Peas Pod Snow Day the following rules apply:
TV and IPad may be used as much as the children would like.
Our gardener is sent home, with some lunch, because its too cold to work.
Blanket forts are built in the lounge.
The heaters stay on all day.
Only hot comfort food is served.
Children are allowed to stay in their pj's as long as they want.
NO GOING OUTSIDE.

Bring it on!
