Our instant art gallery

It turns out that my son loves to draw and paint at play school so I received an arm full of pictures at the end of his second week. It was then that I realised our fridge door was just not going to cut it.

I rembered this idea (below) which I had pinned on Pintrest a while ago. It was something I was planning to do in the future but with a budding artist (wouldn't that be cool) in our midst this project needed to be tackled now.

So Super dad and I picked a nice prominent spot in our dining room/lounge and set to work. As we don't have IKea here we looked for another option and choose big rings with a screw attached (kind of like a closed cup hook). We also used metal cable clamps and some thin mental cable. We used little bull dog clips and pegs to clip the art to the wire. Instant art gallery. There is also a shelf on the wall from its former life as DVD storage so I plan to use that for any construction or sculpture that need displaying.

My son was very excited to see all his art on the wall.

The idea I pinned from Pinterest

Our own version on our dinning room.
