Today was our day for staying home and this week I was feeling all inspired to do some art projects after reading the Tinkerlab blog.
So I decided to do some spray bottle pairing with Curious George and some finger painting with Jelly Bean. We used our big door easel in the garden and CG was thrilled with the spraying experience. It was the first time JB had used finger paint and so she mostly just ate the paint.
But then a wonderful thing happened, CG left his painting and came and joined in the finger painting. He then took the paint to his picture and ended up covering his hands and making hand prints. JB loved watching him smoosh the finger paint around her board. Then in typical toddler fashion the whole art event degenerated into 'cleaning' the easel with the hose and water play ensued.
Spray bottle painting:
Fill a spray bottle with water and add some powder paint to the water. Shake it up to mix.
Baby edible finger paint:
Mix plain yoghurt with food colouring.
